Root Canal Kent (Bexleyheath)
Please Note: Our specialist endodontist Dr Aquilina will be leaving us this summer. Unfortunately this means we are unable to take on any new Root Canal patients at this time.
If you need an experienced and trusted specialist endodonist for root canal help in Kent, our friendly, state-of-the-art clinic in Bexleyheath can help.
We are regulated and monitored by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and all our dentists are registered with General Dental Council (GDC), so you can rest assured you're safe in the hands of our endodontics team.
Root canal treatment is required when the blood or nerve supply of a tooth becomes infected through decay or injury. It is carried out to save the tooth and prevent infection spreading through the root canal system.

What happens during treatment?
The infection is removed and the root is cleaned and filled to prevent any reoccurrences. After a period of time the tooth is checked for signs of reinfection and once clear it is permanently filled.
How long does the treatment take?
Most treatments will involve at least two visits to the dentist.
What are the alternatives?
It is possible to remove the tooth but it is always best to keep as many natural teeth as possible.
I've only got moderate pain do I really need this treatment
Although you may only experience mild pain initially it can become very severe and if treatment is not carried out the infection will spread resulting in the possible extraction of the tooth.
Dental reviews from our patients
We strive to be the best dentist in Bexleyheath and our patients let us know we’re achieving this all the time. A patient recently said:
"Very professional, friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Made me feel very relaxed despite having 2 nerve-racking surgeries (root canal and tooth extraction/implant). I would thoroughly recommend."
